Bergen, Norway 19th of august 2024. The existing shareholders of Apparat AS have decided to further accelerate the growth of the company by joining forces with Sonat. As part of the transaction most existing shareholders will reinvest in a minority stake in Sonat.
Founded in 2017, Apparat offers IT consulting and digital design and animation services. Within IT consulting, the company offers advanced enterprise solutions based on .NET, scalable cloud services with micro services based on GO as well as application development, user experience (UX) and project management. Within animation, the company offers commercial advertising productions, music video productions as well as visual effects (VFX).
Since inception, Apparat has built a strong corporate culture centered around senior digitalization and animation specialists with a strong brand name both locally and internationally. Apparat caters to clients in critical digitalization projects for blue chip clients. In order to continue on its growth trajectory Apparat will now join the Sonat Group of companies.
Apparat has a strong growth ambition and will be complemented by both the broader offering of the Sonat Group as well as the available sales resources. The acquisition of Apparat is the first add-on of Sonat since VIA equity joined as shareholder in 2023 and complements the existing stronghold in Bergen as well as all the organic growth initiatives already initiated in Trondheim and Oslo.
“Sonat has known Apparat as a successful colleague in the Bergen market with a complementing corporate culture to Sonat and a strong reputation in the market. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Håkon Nilsen and his team on our mutual journey ahead”, says Jonny Klemetsen CEO Sonat Group.
“We have come to a point in our corporate journey where we would like to be part of a larger group to fully develop all opportunities we see in the market. We believe we have found a perfect match and look forward to joining Sonat as fellow shareholders”, says Håkon Nilsen, Founder and CEO of Apparat.
